Position Overview 

We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to assist with general IT operations while supporting automation initiatives within our technology environment. This role provides hands-on experience with IT infrastructure, device management, system monitoring, and automation platforms such as Home Assistant. 

The intern will work closely with the IT team to help design, implement, and maintain automation workflows that improve efficiency and monitoring across systems and connected devices. 

This internship is ideal for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in IT operations, automation, and emerging technologies such as IoT and smart infrastructure. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist with general IT support and infrastructure tasks 
• Help design and maintain automation workflows 
• Configure and manage automations within Home Assistant 
• Assist with integration of IoT devices and connected systems 
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot automation issues 
• Assist in creating dashboards and monitoring tools 
• Document system configurations, automation processes, and procedures 
• Help test and implement new technologies and integrations 
• Support internal IT projects and technology improvements 

• Basic understanding of IT systems or computer networking 
• Familiarity with automation platforms or smart systems 
• Experience or familiarity with YAML configuration files 
• Interest in automation, IoT, and system monitoring 
• Familiarity with Linux environments is a plus
