Position Overview
The Senior Sales Representative – Power Generation Projects plays a key role in identifying and developing new opportunities for power generation solutions beyond traditional generator set offerings.
This role is well-suited for a forward-thinking, self-directed individual who enjoys working in an environment with evolving priorities and emerging opportunities. Success in this position requires strong initiative, confidence in decision-making, and the ability to translate market insights into strategic customer solutions.
You will work proactively to identify market trends, develop new vendor and customer relationships, and position MSHS Pacific Power Group as a trusted partner in power generation innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new power generation products and project opportunities beyond traditional generator set offerings.
- Use market insights, industry experience, and analytics to anticipate customer needs and emerging power generation trends.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to drive new business and repeat sales.
- Develop strategic partnerships with vendors and technology providers to support innovative power generation solutions.
- Provide technical insight and consultative guidance to customers to influence project specifications and solution design.
- Lead sales discussions and negotiations in alignment with company guidelines and customer requirements.
- Develop and execute sales strategies within assigned accounts or territories to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze customer needs and recommend tailored solutions that align with operational and technical requirements.
- Build long-term customer loyalty by delivering value, responsiveness, and trusted expertise.
- Become proficient in MSHS Pacific Power Group product offerings, sales tools, and systems within the first 4–6 months.
- Contribute to the development of systems, processes, and market approaches that support long-term sales growth.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, multiple projects, and evolving customer needs.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated success identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing strategic customer relationships.
- Ability to understand technical customer needs and translate them into practical power generation solutions.
- Strong confidence in navigating complex sales environments and making informed decisions in evolving situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain momentum in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to achieve goals and expand market opportunities.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 annually (based on experience)
- Additional Earnings: Commission opportunities tied to sales performance
