Position Overview
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests in the Grill Room and during club events. This role focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere while preparing and serving beverages with efficiency, consistency, and professionalism. The Bartender plays an important role in enhancing the overall club experience by delivering attentive service and maintaining a high standard of hospitality during daily operations and special events.
Key Responsibilities
Bar & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club standards
- Provide friendly, attentive service to members and guests seated at the bar and in the Grill Room
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the club’s beverage offerings, including beer, wine, cocktails, and specialty drinks
- Monitor member accounts and process transactions accurately through the POS system
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all state and club regulations
Member Service
- Greet members and guests promptly and create a welcoming environment
- Engage with members to provide a personalized and enjoyable club experience
- Respond to member requests and ensure service is timely and attentive
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to support overall dining operations
Bar Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area at all times
- Assist with stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies
- Prepare the bar for daily service and special events
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and club service standards
- Assist with setup and breakdown for tournaments, banquets, and club functions when needed
Qualifications
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment
- Basic POS and cash handling experience preferred
