Description

Valley Hill Country Club is seeking a hands-on, service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead daily front-of-house dining operations and elevate the overall member experience. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality service across all dining venues while developing a strong, accountable team culture. 

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day front-of-house operations across all dining outlets, ensuring service excellence and consistency
  • Serve as a visible presence on the floor, engaging with members and guests, and reinforcing a “Members First” culture
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise FOH staff; conduct evaluations and ongoing coaching
  • Execute pre-shift meetings and ensure staff alignment on service expectations, reservations, and special requests
  • Oversee dining room setup, floor plans, and service flow based on daily business levels
  • Manage bar operations, including inventory, ordering, and assisting with beverage program development
  • Monitor labor, scheduling, and operating efficiency to support departmental financial goals
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of all dining and service areas
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Events Team to ensure seamless execution of daily dining and club events
  • Address member feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring effective service recovery
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled
  • Conduct ongoing training programs to improve member experience

  Candidate Qualifications 

  • 2–4 years of food & beverage management experience, preferably in a private club or upscale hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams
  • Experience managing multiple service styles, including a la carte dining and events
  • Knowledge of beverage operations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems (the Club uses Jonas Club Management)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • VHCC paid Health and Dental Insurance for the employee and family.  The Club will be responsible for 50% and the employee will be responsible for 50%
