Solutions Architects at TriCore spend their time working with existing customers and turning ideas and requests into functional proposals for our clients. Solutions Architects leverage their sales talent, and communication skills to connect with and become trusted partners to our clients. As trusted partners, they are then tasked with leveraging the expertise within TriCore to understand our clients’ problems and needs and propose solutions to solve those problems and to meet their needs. 

An ideal Solutions Architecture intern candidate would be someone who enjoys talking to people to learn about them and their business. They would also need to have the understanding necessary to put together technical solutions with input from other TriCore personnel.    


Over 12 weeks you will gain an understanding of what it takes for a professional engineering firm to operate efficiently. During your time here you, will be exposed to all facets of the TriCore business model and the business areas that work together to ultimately make the organization successful.


During the first part of the internship, you will be exposed to all the pertinent things that must occur for a project to be executed successfully. This will provide a basis for understanding TriCore operations and the types of engineering solutions TriCore offers. Topics to include:

  • Sales
  • Project Management
  • Automation
  • Information/Network Solutions
  • Service and Support

Following this, you will be immersed in Solutions Architecture specific training where you will learn how to develop a proposal to include:

  • The quote process, tools, and templates
  • Pricing, labor, margins, cash flow, and risk
  • How to assemble a quoted price
  • How to assemble a written proposal

As your understanding and skills develop you will be given proposals to work on under the guidance of experienced Solutions Architects.

Requirements
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree or similar from an accredited college or university with a strong interest or focus on sales along with a strong technical or engineering interest or focus.
  • Must be in location for onsite training in Racine, WI
Salary Description
$20/hour
