Order Fulfillment Assistant Manager
Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate processing, packaging, and delivery of food orders, while maintaining quality control, efficiency, and compliance with food safety regulations.

  • Supervise the processing of all customers, market, and catering orders for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef and kitchen teams to ensure production needs meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of food and packaging materials in collaboration with the Purchasing Manager.
  • Oversee quality control checks and compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Supervise packing and labeling of all orders, including handling of temperature-sensitive items.
  • Work with the Delivery and Logistics, Kitchen, and Catering teams to manage delivery schedules and on-time fulfillment orders.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, order status, delivery issues, and or complaints.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and service standards.
  • Recommend and implement ways to process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain documentation of order metrics, inventory levels, and performance data.
  • Ensure all order fulfillment operations comply with food safety regulations and company policies.

Order Fulfillment / Warehouse Operations

  • Hands-on experience with order picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Familiarity with fulfillment timelines, accuracy goals, and quality checks.

Inventory Management

  • Experience tracking stock levels, cycle counts, and managing stock discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., NetSuite, Fishbowl, SAP, etc.).

Team Leadership / Supervisory Experience

  • Previous role overseeing or training fulfillment/warehouse staff.
  • Ability to manage schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.


Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Proficiency in inventory/order management software
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • 3 years minimum experience in procurement

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Exposure to hot and cold environments in the kitchen and storage areas
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards 



Salary Description
$21-$25/hr
