Joining Our Movement as a CAD Playground Design Intern will give you the opportunity to be part of something bigger and grow your career with Burke! This position is full time during the summer and part time during the school year. Candidates must be able to work part time during the school year.

The Role – What You’ll Do!


Prepares 3D Presentations for Sales Proposals by

  • Using 3D rendering, animation and graphic design software
  • Creating 3D Renderings of Inventor files with 3D Studio Max
  • Creating custom 3D site plans for sales visuals
  • Superimposing 3D graphics onto photographed backgrounds
  • Creating custom graphics using Adobe Illustrator
  • Using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for post render corrections and custom presentations
  • Creating 3D fly-through presentations using 3D Studio Max and video editing software
  • Using third-party software to create virtual tours of playground designs

Communicates Directly with Sales Representatives by

  • Being articulate & friendly
  • Using proper phone etiquette, e-mail communication and internal systems to resolve issues and answer questions that arise in regards to the Reps’ specifications and requests 

Contributes to Team Effort by

  • Collaborating with other team members on projects
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications That Move Us!

  • Must have a portfolio or examples of work to showcase relevant artistic experience
  • Must have beginning knowledge of 3D Studio Max or similar (3D Design Software), Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
  • Must have a basic understanding of artistic concepts such as layout, composition, lighting/shading, and color theory
  • Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and group situations with managers, customers, other employees and the general public
  • Organized, detail oriented, team player, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Time-Management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities is a must
