Description


SUMMARY 

Dedham Savings is seeking an in-office part-time (25-30 hours per week) Credit Intern from June 8th through the end of August 2026. This position will provide an opportunity to work within the Credit Department of Dedham Savings and work with a highly skilled team to gain insight into multiple areas of the department and help with a variety of tasks and projects as needed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of loan information with loan origination system (LOS). 
  • Review commercial credit files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies. 
  • Support credit analysts and loan officers with financial spreading, document tracking, and covenant monitoring as necessary.
  • Assist with tickler tracking and follow up on missing documentation to ensure file completeness.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • High School Diploma or GED required, pursuing a Associates or Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and highly organized.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; use sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity or feel objects, tools, or controls. Pay Range Disclosure 

The pay range for this position is $17.95 to $19.95 per hour and is the lowest to highest rate Dedham Savings in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The Bank may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
