SUMMARY
The Facilities Technician II performs a variety of maintenance functions and oversees the overall Credit Union maintenance program. Key responsibilities include oversight of branch supplies and inventory. Acts as liaison among Coreplus and external vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a basic working knowledge and applied understanding of carpentry, painting, landscape maintenance, electrical and plumbing work.
- Visits Credit Union branches on a regular basis to assess any needed repairs and make such repairs within scope of knowledge and ability.
- Makes recommendations to management on any work that requires a contractor.
- Picks up trash and maintains an overall neat appearance of Credit Union properties.
- Responsibilities include after-hours availability in the event of storms that may require the checking on or maintenance of Credit Union properties.
- Works in conjunction with the Information Technology team as needed to relocate phone / computer equipment. Assists with pulling of cable and other IT related tasks as needed.
- Organizes supply closets and moves equipment from branch to branch as required.
- Maintains overall responsibility for the inventory supply room, restocking, filling branch or department orders. Manages supplies such that limited supplies are kept in stock and exercises judgment in evaluating the reasonableness of departmental requisitions. Recommends cost savings strategies to management.
- Establishes and maintains a preventative maintenance program for Credit Union facilities systems.
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of Credit Union vehicle(s).
- Assists Supervisor with review of contracts pertaining to facilities and recommends any necessary changes prior to various contract renewals.
- Acts as a backup to the courier as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in the construction or maintenance field.
- Specialized training or education in facilities maintenance or related field required preferred.
- Ability to use small hand and power tools.
- Must be able to resolve problems in a quick and efficient manner, adhering to prescribed guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with others.
- Must have strong organization and time management skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. A satisfactory driving history is a prerequisite of this job.
