Arctic Cat is now hiring an Engine Management Technologist to be responsible for ensuring that the engine management systems are developed on schedule, tested, meet cost targets and pass emission specifications for snow, offroad, and XTV products. Primary systems development include: 2- and 4-stroke engine combustion, fuel delivery, intake, exhaust, and turbo systems. In addition, this individual should have a solid understanding of the manufacturing and quality control processes for engines, fuel systems, and electronic controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and test Fuel Management Systems for all products.
- Assist in intake system, exhaust and after treatment systems, and engine combustion development
- Perform engine/chassis dyno and emissions testing
- Verify vehicles pass all required compliance testing including emissions regulations.
- Develop Project Timelines and maintain schedules to meet program milestones.
- Coordinate procurement of prototype Fuel Management system components.
- Create appropriate test and validation plans for new and revised designs and monitor to ensure performance that meets or exceed the design requirements.
- Follow product development processes and methods for tracking project status and open issues.
- Identify and implement potential cost savings.
- Stay abreast of latest Fuel Management and Engine developments and new technologies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive designs, costing, test data, prototype models and product plans.
- Participate in and encourage the highest level of quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Support the development of service manuals and part books.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or 4 year degree in mechanical/electrical field preferred.
- Experience working with engines and powertrain related components preferred.
- Engineering Analysis Software (such as Concerto), Microsoft Office Products, and calibration software (such as INCA/ETAS) preferred
- Must possess riding and evaluation skills.
