Position Summary
Trade Products is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position responsible for supporting current and potential customers, assisting with orders, answering questions, resolving issues, and helping drive pull tab sales. This role will build and maintain strong customer relationships, support outside sales representatives, enter customer orders accurately, and help identify opportunities to increase sales and improve service.
Pay Range: $23–$29 per hour
Primary Responsibilities
- Answer phones and assist customers with orders, questions, and problem resolution.
- Accurately enter orders and relevant customer information into internal systems.
- Build and support customer relationships on an ongoing basis to help increase sales and meet monthly goals.
- Follow up with customers by phone, email, and fax.
- Develop new customer prospects and support customer growth opportunities.
- Maintain close communication with outside sales representatives regarding customer accounts.
- Develop strong knowledge of the product line and sales process.
- Identify opportunities to sell older inventory when appropriate.
- Ensure marketing mailers are distributed to customers as scheduled.
- Run inventory reports and communicate product availability to customers on a weekly basis.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and improve customer service.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and department expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2–3 years of related customer service, sales support, inside sales, or order entry experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Phone sales experience preferred.
- Strong business acumen and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn internal systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven with the ability to work toward sales and service goals.
- Ability to work well with customers, outside sales representatives, and internal team members.
