The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. Reporting to the Laboratory Operations Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end processing of customer samples, including laboratory preparation, microbial and DNA-based analysis, and data entry.


The Lab Technician plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant sample processing while maintaining laboratory operations, equipment, and inventory. This position requires strong organizational skills, hands-on laboratory experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment while supporting both internal teams and customer needs.

Where You Make a Difference

· Perform end-to-end sample processing, including microbial culture, DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, and data entry

· Manage sample workflows to meet turnaround times and customer expectations

· Prepare reagents, media, and laboratory supplies; maintain clean and organized lab spaces

· Maintain laboratory equipment, including routine cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and documentation

· Monitor inventory, receive materials, and communicate supply needs

· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper handling of chemical and biohazardous materials

· Follow quality system procedures and support regulatory compliance (cGMP, ISO 17025, USDA as applicable)

· Assist with SOP updates, audits, and continuous process improvements

· Communicate with customers on sample status and support timely report delivery

· Collaborate with laboratory staff to support efficient daily operations

What You Bring

· Bachelor’s degree in a life science field with 1–3 years of laboratory experience

· Hands-on experience with microbiology and molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA extraction, PCR, sequencing)

· Familiarity with regulated lab environments (cGMP, GLP, ISO 17025 preferred)

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

· Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

· Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

· Proficiency with standard lab software and Microsoft Office tools
