Position Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join an ICU Stepdown (Progressive Care) unit within an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with medical providers and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

The Registered Nurse will assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and provide both pre-operative and post-operative care while serving as an advocate for patients and families.

Schedule & Employment Details

• Employment Type: Full-Time 
• Shift: Days 
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating Weekends 

Compensation

Competitive Pay Based on Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and throughout each shift 
• Identify and report changes in patient status 
• Perform procedures and interventions as ordered by medical providers 
• Administer medications and monitor patient response 
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner 
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment 
• Provide care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients 
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care 

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required 
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred 

Required Experience (Non-Negotiable):

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU Stepdown (PCU) RN experience 

Preferred Experience:

• 3 years of Cardiac PCU or Multisystem PCU experience 

Certifications (Required)

• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment start date 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment start date 
• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date
