Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive stakes where needed to indicate locations for poles and guide wires.
- Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information and act within the practices established by the Bluebonnet Red Flag policy.
- Must be able to communicate professionally with all employees and our members
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, office, field sites, and vehicle.
- Open gates to access work sites as needed.
- Walk distribution lines to support inspections and planning.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry and documentation.
- Demonstrate and act in accordance with Bluebonnet's Foundation Values.
- Maintain professional working relationships with all employees, members, and vendors at all times.
- Maintain regular attendance; arrives to work on time and is ready to work.
- Use safe work practices at all times and in all situations.
Education and Experience:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
Licensing and Certification:
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of cooperative policies.
- Knowledge of job-related functions within the department for completeness of reports.
- Above average ability to communicate both written and orally.
- Ability to use all office equipment.
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
- Must type 40 WPM or more and 10-key by touch.
- Interpersonal skills that result in effective working relationships with peers, members and vendors.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner; focused on improvement or problem resolution in a constructive, positive, and professional manner.
- Maintain familiarity with the basic techniques of emergency response including: First Aid, CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogens, in order to be prepared the provide emergency treatment to fellow employees and the general public if needed.
Tools and Equipment Used:
- Office Equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, etc.
Physical Demands:
- Requires repetitive motion of hands and fingers such as dialing and keyboarding.
- Light lifting of up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Typical office environment.
- Hours are consistent with normal business operations as well as employee and member requirements.
Please note: Interns are restricted to working no more than 29 hours a week
