To better meet the needs of those who rely on our information and knowledge to keep people and property safe, we are amidst a transformation to expand our influence and further our safety mission. We are becoming increasingly digital and global to grow, thrive, and save more lives from fire, electrical, and other hazards. It is an exciting and empowering time to work at NFPA.

The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, and proactive. They enjoy digging into details to uncover how systems and processes connect. They work well in partnership with the team, particularly with business analysts and project managers, and bring structure to evolving business needs. They balance thoughtful analysis with clear communication, helping ensure that enterprise systems work for the people who use them.

- Collaborate with the Principal Business Analyst to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for enterprise systems initiatives, then translate those needs into practical system-based solutions that align with platform capabilities, either through direct implementation or detailed solution documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization and with external vendors to understand needs and translate them into system or process improvements.
- Develop clear and testable user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Plan and prep for user acceptance testing, supporting users during testing, and analyzing and triaging the feedback and defects found.
- Experience working within Scrum-based software development teams, leading backlog refinement sessions, and partnering closely with developers to document how solutions will be implemented.
- Support configuration, testing, and deployment activities for system updates and enhancements.
- Assist in data analysis, mapping, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across integrated platforms (e.g., NetSuite ?HubSpot).
- This role requires someone who is comfortable moving between stakeholder conversations and detailed technical discussions.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and knowledge bases to support adoption and continuity.
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes, improve data quality, and reduce manual work through automation or standardization.
- Provide day-to-day analytical and administrative support for enterprise systems and related PMO initiatives.
