Description
Summary:
As a SMT intern, you'll gain hands-on experience operating equipment, performing soldering and inspections, and interpreting industry standards.
Requirements
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printer, Glue Dispensing Machine, Pick and Place Machine, Reflow Oven, Selective Solder, Agilent 5d-Xray
- Perform basic soldering and rework of SMT components
- Perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies
- Interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications
- Flexibility to train and move between functional areas
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with SMT line a plus
- Familiarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly process a plus
- Must be computer literate
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with and ability to use hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, cutters, etc.
- Must be responsible and accountable for quality of inspection and work performed
- Must practice safety daily, reporting all unsafe conditions to management
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
Salary Description
$17-$27 per hour
