Description
The Coating Technician Trainee is responsible for learning the in-house plating and special processes as applicable and must comply with all quality and manufacturing standard operating procedures as they apply to customer specifications. Follow all quality management system regulations for conformance to ISO 9001, AS9100 and Nadcap, follow all export compliance regulations and securities, and follow safety regulations outlined by OSHA.

Responsibilities:
Learn to perform the following responsibilities:
- Ability to perform processing to the different regulatory and/or customer specific plating processes (chemical conversion and passivation).
- Follow approved work instructions and established department procedures. (including processing flow charts)
- Read routers, blueprints, finishing operation sheets, and/or technical specifications to determine processing specifications and information for applying a plating/coating. Documents operation instructions for future jobs.
- Record data from operations, testing, and production on specified forms.
- Knowledge of the correct use of processing equipment for finishing practices.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Contact Maintenance Lead/Finishing Lead for repairs.
- Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
- Knowledge determining the variance of Nadcap and Non-Nadcap parts and processing requirements of each.
- Knowledge of finishing process and ability to complete all steps effectively.
- Understand established racking techniques.
- Complete lot or periodic testing required according to specifications and/or customer requirements.
- Knowledge of sampling and 100% inspection practices (Natoma Sampling Plan, ANZI 1.4, squeglia, etc.)
- Knowledge of temperature, Ph testing, depth testing for processing tanks.
- Notify supervisor on suspicious coatings and accurately completes and document any returned/rework parts, including stripping.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Follow all Natoma Manufacturing, LLC. policies, department procedures, and work instructions.
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Work productively with others as a team and in a highly diverse work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED

- None
Minimum Additional Training:
- On-the-job training for coating of parts.
