Job Summary: This role will support the analysis, improvement and documentation of business processes and systems across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to enhance operation efficiency, support Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) systems, and provide information to assist assist with data-driven decision-making. This role offers exposure to real-world business systems, project work, and continuous improvement initiates, providing a strong foundation for a career in business analytics, operations management, or engineering.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Create draft Engineering Bill Of Material (BOM) documents.
  2. Compile and enter customer configurations into ERP system. 
  3. Create/update multi-level routings and operations.
  4. Assist with process mapping, data analysis, system testing and documentation of ERP standard operating procedures.
  5. Support ongoing ERP optimization projects, reporting improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
  6. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions).
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age to work at this facility.
  3. Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for all employees of Tech Ord.
  4. Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program majoring in: Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Data Analytics or similar.  
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to communicate and document effectively in English.
  7. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  8. Ability to multi-task in support of end-result/goal.
  9. Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail capability.
  10. Ability to set and establish priorities.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The description of the physical demands and the work environment characteristics here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform and those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job:

  1. Ability to talk and hear in order to communicate with others.
  2. Seated work for up to 75% of the workday.
  3. Extensive computer use is required.
  4. Minimal lifting of 10 pounds is required.  
  5.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus when viewing a computer monitor.  
  6.  Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel as well as reach with hands and arms.
  7. Ear protection is required as identified throughout the facility.
  8.  Where required employees must wear a minimum of 50 percent cotton clothing including undergarments to mitigate electrostatic discharge (ESD). Employees must also wear company issued safety footwear.
