Landing Gear Technologies is an independently owned aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) company specializing in the repair and overhaul of landing gear systems and a variety of aircraft components. The Engineering Intern reports to the Engineering Manager and supports the Engineering Department by assisting with technical projects, data collection, and process improvement initiatives related to the overhaul and repair of landing gear components. This role is ideal for a student seeking hands-on experience in aerospace engineering and maintenance operations.

  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with the review, development, and improvement of repair processes and technical documentation.
• Support engineering projects related to landing gear overhaul, component repair, and production efficiency.
• Collect, analyze, and organize engineering and production data to support decision-making.
• Assist in creating and updating work instructions, process sheets, and technical reports.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of technical and production issues.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and planning teams to ensure engineering requirements are met.
• Support validation and testing activities for components and processes.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings, and documentation.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, safety, and quality.
• Follow all company safety policies and regulatory compliance requirements.

  

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects acceptable).
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and shop floor personnel.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within an aerospace MRO environment.
