What You'll Do
As an RN, you'll serve as a clinical leader within the care team, partnering with providers to deliver outstanding pediatric care while ensuring a positive experience for every family.
Your responsibilities include:
- Assessing the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of pediatric patients.
- Providing telephone and in-office triage for acute illnesses and injuries.
- Administering immunizations, medications, and other clinical treatments.
- Performing in-office procedures, including blood draws, specimen collection, and catheterization.
- Educating families about diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Coordinating care following emergency room visits and hospital discharges.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and front office staff to provide seamless patient care.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and maintaining current pediatric clinical knowledge.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with children, communicates with compassion, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (pediatric experience preferred)
- Experience with telephone triage preferred
- Competency performing catheterization and other common clinical procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the care team
- Working knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
