Description
This role is perfect for an engineer who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities and enjoys working cross-functionally across the organization. The Project Engineer will coordinate and manage deadlines for customer material requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Completes cost estimates of materials for customer quotes.
- Prepares CAD approval drawings (2D) for customers.
- Prepares Fabrication work orders for the shop.
- Supervises progress of development project.
- Collaborate with engineering team, field installation team, and sales team.
- Collaborates with the operations team regarding fabrication schedules to meet deadlines.
- Collaborates with project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 Years of CAD Experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High Mechanical Aptitude
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline OR highly skilled drafter with experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in engineering, CAD.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
