JOB SUMMARY
Represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in commercial and residential foreclosure, title disputes and real estate litigation. This position includes but is not limited to making appearances in state and federal court for routine and contested hearings, reviewing incoming litigation and developing case strategy, drafting documents, and conducting settlement negotiations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage case load of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
· Appear in court and argue motions necessary to the successful completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title curative/ title disputes, HOA/COA issues and other matters.
· Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution.
· Analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents. Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses. Attend trials.
· Legal research and writing are required.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
· J.D. degree, licensed in Georgia and in good standing with the Georgia Bar
· Minimum 1-8 years relevant Litigation experience preferred.
· Minimum 1-8 years motion practice experience
· Minimum 1-8 years courtroom experience
· Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law is helpful, not required
· Knowledge of Georgia Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules
· Previous experience with foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial property is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. This a full time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
