SUMMARY / GENERAL PURPOSE

The Logistics Lead at EAM is responsible for leading and coordinating daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control, in a regulated aviation manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with FAA, AS9100, and internal quality requirements while driving operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery performance. 


The position serves as the first line of leadership within the logistics team, supporting execution, enforcing procedures, and acting as a key liaison between operations, purchasing, quality, and production. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


• Lead daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations to ensure alignment with production and customer delivery schedules

• Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments comply with FAA, AS9100, and EAM quality system requirements

• Verify accuracy and completeness of shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing slips, certifications, and export documentation

• Coordinate material flow to support manufacturing operations, minimizing delays and shortages

• Oversee inventory transactions in Quantum ERP, ensuring real-time accuracy of receipts, issues, and transfers

• Support and execute cycle counts and inventory audits in compliance with company procedures

• Enforce adherence to company policies, work instructions, and safety standards

• Identify and escalate discrepancies in inventory, documentation, or shipment conditions

• Act as a point of contact between logistics, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams

• Train and guide logistics personnel on processes, compliance requirements, and system usage.

• Monitor team performance and ensure productivity and accountability standards are

met.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to material handling, layout, and

process efficiency.

• Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and traceability.


OTHER DUTIES:


• All employees must be familiar with AS9100 standard.

Requirements

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations in a

manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with FAA regulations, AS9100 standards, and traceability requirements.

• Proficient in using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Quantum, SAP) and Microsoft Office

(especially Excel and Outlook).

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.

• Bilingual English/Spanish.


PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

  • Forklift Certification (OSHA compliant).
  • DOT/IATA Hazmat Shipping/Receiving Awareness.
