POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Litigation Legal Secretary with significant experience in Texas insurance defense litigation. This individual will support multiple attorneys in a high-volume practice and must be capable of managing a busy docket with minimal supervision.
This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain high-volume litigation dockets for multiple attorneys
- Prepare, revise, and finalize pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
- E-file documents in Texas state and federal courts
- Maintain and track deadlines in accordance with Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and local rules
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial settings
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, and logistics
- Handle attorney calendaring, scheduling, and travel coordination
- Enter attorney time and assist with billing in compliance with client guidelines
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
- Anticipate attorney needs and proactively manage workflow

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience in Texas
- Insurance defense experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys (3+ minimum)
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume docket independently
- Strong knowledge of Texas state and federal e-filing systems
- Proficiency in calendaring deadlines and procedural rules
- Experience with trial preparation
- Strong document production and proofreading skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with insurance carriers and billing guidelines (UTBMS/LEDES)
- Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., Needles, ProLaw, Clio)
- Experience coordinating experts, depositions, and complex scheduling
- Prior trial “war room” support experience
- Experience with billing and time entry
