POSITION SUMMARY:

Regulatory and Program Compliance Specialist is responsible for LRC’s overall regulatory compliance of OPWDD programs and services.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

  • Responsible for scheduling and conducting  internal surveys in advance of OPWDD surveys.  
  • Serves as the direct liaison with OPWDD, OFPC   & DQI survey team. Attends all OFPC & DQI audits.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and leads team meetings focused on the review and analysis of internal and external survey findings.
  • Develops and submits Plans of Corrective   Action, when necessary and in conjunction with appropriate staff &   management input.
  • Provides training and technical assistance for implementation of Plans of Corrective Action, including certifying the completion of required corrections within the designated time frames.
  • Assumes responsibility for the ongoing review and monitoring of Fire Safety protections and initiatives. 
  • Maintains knowledge of OPWDD, federal and state regulations and provides recommendations to the Deputy Director of   Quality Assurance regarding the need of program modifications as indicated.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert regarding   OPWDD, federal and state regulations, Personal Allowance, Plans of Corrective   Action, Fire Safety and Informed Consent for program leadership and front line staff. 
  • Develops and facilitates proactive training   initiatives as needed to mitigate citations and enhance the overall quality of supports provided.
  • Leads ongoing training initiatives for new  management staff regarding the management of Personal Allowance funds,   ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and agency policies.
  • Provides active participation for routine information sharing, problem solving and crisis intervention as needed;   promoting good communication between all interdisciplinary team members and   Leadership Team.
  • Participates in the Human Rights, Informed Consent and Psychotropic Medication Committee.
  • Responsible for aligning and demonstrating agency values while performing the job.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and 7 years experience working within in a related field; or Associate degree and at least 5 years’   experience working in the field; or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experienced preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable Transportation, with the ability to travel between sites.
