Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating, releasing, and closing production orders to support customer and inventory demands
- Monitoring raw material levels and initiating requisitions or RFQs as needed
- Coordinating with Purchasing and Inventory teams to maintain production flow
- Staging materials and components for production orders
- Managing parts sent to outside processing, including tracking and receiving
- Performing inventory cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Supporting Kanban systems for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Ensuring finished goods are properly moved and recorded in inventory systems
- Communicating effectively with internal teams and external vendors
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on shop interaction with system-based inventory and planning work.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop or fabrication preferred)
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or material handling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Strong Excel skills, including working with formulas
- Excellent communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kanban or Lean manufacturing systems
- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
- Experience coordinating outside processing or vendor-managed workflows

Work Environment
You’ll work in both office and manufacturing shop environments, with regular exposure to production areas. This includes:
- Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Use of standard safety equipment (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc.)
