Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a travel assignment in Eureka, California.

This role supports a radiation oncology department delivering advanced cancer treatments including IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and external beam therapy for adult and geriatric patient populations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for Radiation Therapists experienced in high-precision treatment delivery who are comfortable working with oncology patients and advanced radiation equipment in an acute care setting.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• Day shift 5x8s (08:00–16:30)
• Floating may be required within hospital or affiliate facilities
• No call required
• No weekend requirement listed

COMPENSATION
Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax-free stipends when applicable.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver radiation therapy treatments including IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and external beam therapy
• Perform patient setup and positioning using immobilization devices and beam-modifying equipment
• Utilize CBCT, kV, and mV imaging for treatment accuracy
• Assist in simulation and treatment planning workflows
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to complications
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and safety
• Maintain radiation safety protocols
• Document treatments using Epic and Mosaiq systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Acute care hospital
• Radiation Oncology department
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Average 35 visits per day
• Equipment includes Elekta Synergy and Elekta Infinity systems
• Epic charting system required

Requirements
• Minimum 1 year Radiation Therapist experience REQUIRED
• ARRT(T) REQUIRED
• BLS REQUIRED
• Epic experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP)
• Active California license REQUIRED; no pending accepted
• Experience with IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and external beam therapy REQUIRED
• Experience with Mosaiq and C-RAD preferred
• Must be willing to float within hospital or nearby facilities
• Must meet 50-mile radius rule
• Locals accepted at lower bill rate
• RTO must be submitted with application

• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• 2 supervisory references required
• Modules non-billable, average 16 hours
• Housing may be limited in area
