Job Summary
As a Structural Assembler, you'll be working with hand tools and power tools to assemble a variety of components in order to create large, complex systems and structures. This role requires the ability to read and follow instructions with detail and precision. You'll be regularly reviewing manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure all components fit correctly. The Structural Assembler role involves standing/walking/moving for the entire shift, as well as regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. individually (any lifting above 50 lbs. will be a team lift).
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review manuals, drawings, schematics, blueprints and other assembly instructions
- Gather necessary materials and equipment
- Measure space and components to ensure a perfect fit
- Select or modify components according to instructions, measurements, and specifications
- Align materials based on specifications to assembly complex units
- Assemble parts using hand tools and power tools
- Measure and inspect completed assemblies for quality
- Identify, report, and document any issues in the assembly process
- Maintain accurate records of production quantities and time for completion
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous mechanical assembly experience OR a related field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, schematics, etc.
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. frequently as an individual (anything above 50 lbs. will be a team lift)
- High school diploma OR equivalent (required)
- Pre-employment background check (required)
