Sheet Metal Fabricator
Description

 The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components used in industrial and energy-related systems. This role requires interpreting technical drawings, operating fabrication equipment, and producing high-quality components that meet company standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.

Requirements

  Position Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications 
  • Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and fabrication machinery 
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as shears, press brakes, rollers, plasma cutters, and CNC machines 
  • Assemble and fit sheet metal components according to design requirements and tolerances 
  • Experience installing g-rib metal panels
  • Experience operating a metal roll former machine and installing snap lock standing seam exterior metal panels
  • Apply various types of insulation into customer specific enclosures.
  • Perform welding, riveting, fastening, and sealing as required 
  • Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications 
  • Collaborate with engineers, welders, millwrights, and other trades to complete projects efficiently 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations 
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on tools and fabrication equipment 
  • Support installation and integration of fabricated components into larger assemblies as needed 
  • Safely operate construction vehicles – Forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, manlifts, skid steer

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings 
  • Experience operating fabrication tools and machinery 
  • Framing/Carpentry Experience
  • Basic math and measurement skills 
  • Knowledge of welding processes (TIG, MIG, or stick) is a plus 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available) 
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening 

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical training or certification in sheet metal fabrication or a related field 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment 
  • Familiarity with CNC fabrication equipment and automated processes 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship 
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
