Position Summary
Great Lakes Landscape Design is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Crew Member to support both landscape construction and maintenance operations.
This position is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks including hardscape installation, landscape maintenance, planting, site cleanup, loading and unloading materials, and supporting crews as needed.
The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, enjoys working outdoors, and is willing to learn different aspects of the landscape industry.

Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, mulching, pruning, and seasonal cleanups.
- Assist with landscape construction and hardscape projects including patios, retaining walls, planting, grading, drainage, and material installation.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, materials, and equipment.
- Move materials such as mulch, stone, gravel, pavers, soil, plants, and tools.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
- Follow instructions from Crew Leaders and Production Managers.
- Support snow operations during winter months when needed.
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or material needs.
- Follow company quality standards and complete work efficiently.
- Assist with daily jobsite cleanup and truck organization.
- Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous landscape, construction, maintenance, or labor experience preferred, but not required.
- Chauffeur driver’s license preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic English communication skills preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
