Receiving Coordinator
Description

The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse receiving operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe handling of inbound materials. This role coordinates workflow, allocates resources, and supports the receiving team in achieving operational, safety, and quality targets. The Receiving Lead assists with scheduling, resolving receiving and inventory discrepancies, and driving continuous improvement through Lean and 5S principles. The position requires hands-on participation in operational tasks as needed to support daily business demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)

  • Coordinate and lead receiving and assembly-picking operations within assigned areas.
  • Support receiving staff with inbound discrepancies, including shortages, overages, damages, and other quality-related issues.
  • Efficiently allocate resources such as personnel, equipment, containers, and inbound carriers.
  • Effective communication with other departments and timely updates of inbound worksheets.
  • Troubleshoot receiving issues through to resolution, escalating to Supervisor when necessary. 
  • Train associates on receiving processes, scanner use, PRD receiving, vendor receiving, and picking functions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company, OSHA, and 5S standards.
  • Provide regular progress updates to team members and leadership.
  • Assist the Inventory Supervisor in achieving departmental and company objectives.
  • Support the implementation of Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence programs—including training, communication, and reinforcement of new standards and behaviors.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following.

High School diploma or equivalent, Minimum of 3 years of related warehouse or distribution experience. Equipment certification for forklift, reach truck, order picker. Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent software applications.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent, Minimum 3 years related experience. 


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent in English.


SKILLS

Understanding of warehouse/storage operations, material handling, packaging, preservation, and receiving systems.

Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions. 

Able to work effectively within a team environment to achieve goals

Strong communication skills across various situations and audiences (internal and external).

$24.00-$27.00 DOE
