Position Overview

At Hotel Californian, the Spa Concierge serves as the first and lasting impression of the spa experience — curating seamless, personalized wellness journeys for each guest. This role embodies refined hospitality, intuitive service, and a deep understanding of luxury guest expectations.

The Spa Concierge is responsible for managing reservations, coordinating treatments, anticipating guest needs, and creating a tranquil, elevated environment that reflects the essence of the Hotel Californian brand. This position requires exceptional emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver highly personalized service in a fast-paced luxury setting.

  

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all spa guests, delivering warm, polished, and anticipatory service 
  • Curate personalized spa experiences by recommending treatments, enhancements, and wellness offerings 
  • Ensure seamless guest flow from arrival through departure, maintaining a calm and welcoming atmosphere 
  • Anticipate guest needs and preferences, creating memorable and bespoke experiences 
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism, discretion, and urgency, ensuring full resolution 

  

Reservations & Operations

  • Manage spa reservations, scheduling, and confirmations with precision and efficiency 
  • Coordinate therapist schedules, treatment rooms, and service timing to optimize guest experience and revenue 
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences, and service history within the booking system 
  • Process payments, retail transactions, and billing in accordance with company standards 
  • Ensure adherence to all spa policies, service standards, and safety protocols 

  

Retail & Revenue Enhancement

  • Promote spa retail products and wellness services through thoughtful, non-intrusive recommendations 
  • Support achievement of spa revenue goals through upselling treatments and packages      
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and cleanliness of retail displays 

  

Spa Environment & Presentation

  • Maintain a serene, immaculate front-of-house spa environment at all times 
  • Ensure treatment areas, relaxation spaces, and guest amenities are fully prepared and stocked 
  • Uphold luxury presentation standards in personal appearance and workspace 

  

Collaboration & Culture

  • Partner closely with Spa Therapists, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams to deliver a cohesive guest experience 
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability aligned with Hotel Californian. 
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and service delivery 

  

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in luxury spa, hotel, or wellness environment preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of spa services, treatments, and wellness offerings 
  • Experience with spa or hotel booking systems (e.g., Booker, Mindbody, or similar) 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability 
  • Ability to remain calm and polished in a fast-paced environment 
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
