Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician to join our team in this full-time position. This role will provide on-site repair and maintenance services for commercial trucks and fire apparatus. This position is ideal for a motivated, mechanically skilled professional who enjoys working independently in the field while delivering high-quality customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mobile diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance on Fouts commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently
  • Complete repairs at customer locations, roadside calls, or job sites
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repairs, and safety concerns
  • Accurately update and close work orders with work performed, parts used, travel and labor time
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Coordinate with warranty administrators, production team, sales team, and management as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (technical      training preferred)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience servicing commercial trucks such as Bucket, Crane, Tow and Fire Apparatus
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Basic computer or tablet skills for service documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE and EVT Certifications
  • CDL
  • Experience with mobile service or roadside assistance

Work Environment

· This role requires working in the field, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions. The Mobile Service Technician must be comfortable responding to service calls with professionalism, urgency, and attention to safety.

· When not traveling, this employee is responsible for handling technical support inquiries and assisting the warranty team.
