We are seeking an Assistant Field Superintendent to support day-to-day field operations on expedited large-scale residential construction projects in the Oak Creek and Mt. Pleasant areas. This role is hands-on in the field, with a strong focus on carpenter and concrete scopes, schedule coordination, quality control, and jobsite safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Field Superintendent with daily supervision of jobsite activities, including carpentry and concrete trades.
- Help drive schedules on fast-paced/expedited projects by coordinating subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, and rework.
- Perform daily/weekly quality walks; verify work is installed per plans, specifications, and company standards.
- Support jobsite safety by reinforcing safe work practices, maintaining a clean/organized site, and documenting issues as needed.
- Coordinate procurement at the subcontractor level (e.g., cabinets and other critical materials) to ensure lead times and deliveries align with the build schedule.
- Track field progress and communicate updates, constraints, and risks to the Superintendent and project team.
- Assist with punch lists, warranty items, and closeout activities to achieve on-time turnover.
- Maintain accurate field documentation (daily reports, photos, checklists) and support permit/inspection readiness.
- 2+ years of field experience in residential construction, with exposure to carpentry and/or concrete scopes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and basic schedules.
- Working knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and a safety-first mindset.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills with crews, trade partners, and (when needed) homeowners/clients.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
Work Environment:
This is an on-site field position working in active construction environments in varying weather conditions. The role involves frequent walking/standing, climbing, and the ability to lift typical construction materials as needed. Hours may vary based on project schedules and deadlines.
