Reporting directly to the Dean of Students and working in close partnership with the Student Life Office, the Director of Student Activities serves as a vital pillar of the community. This role is the primary architect of the student experience outside the classroom, responsible for designing and executing a high-energy, inclusive, student-focused, and transformative student activities program.
The Director of Student Activities will bridge the gap between academic rigor and personal development. This isn’t just an event planner, but instead, a culture-builder who ensures that the student experience beyond the classroom and athletic fields is just as enriching.
Success in this role is defined by a campus culture where every student, regardless of their interests, feels seen, heard, and engaged. The impact can be seen through the transformation of downtime as a vibrant exploration of social growth, school spirit, and lifelong memories.

- Oversee student use of the Olmstead Student Union (OSU) during weekdays and on weekends.
- Produce and distribute the weekend schedule of events, and meet with the weekend duty team to coordinate them.
- Help coordinate a shuttle on Saturday evenings, Sundays, and long weekends when school is in session.
- Potentially teach 1-2 classes, coach two seasons, and serve as a dorm parent to combine to make a full-time position.
