Intern- Equipment Maintenance Technician
Reports to: EHS Manager
Hours/schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00a-4:30p (10-12 weeks)
Citizenship Requirement: US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder. We can not sponsor Visas.
We are seeking a motivated Electronics Equipment Maintenance Intern to support our manufacturing and engineering operations over a 10–12 week period. This role is ideal for students pursuing electrical engineering, electronics technology, industrial engineering, or related fields who want hands-on experience with production equipment, preventive maintenance, and hardware lifecycle management.
The intern will work closely with technicians and engineers to assist with equipment moves, basic troubleshooting, component-level recovery, and inventory management of spare and retired hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Support & Maintenance
- Assist technicians with line moves, including disconnecting, relocating, and reconnecting production equipment.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks under supervision (cleaning, inspections, simple adjustments).
- Support equipment recovery and repair, including identifying faulty components and replacing or removing parts.
- Remove usable components from decommissioned machines for spare-parts harvesting.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Maintain and update inventory of spare equipment, harvested components, and consumables.
- Organize and document used parts for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
- Assist in the disposition of obsolete or end-of-life equipment, following company procedures.
Data & System Support
- Support data recovery and system backups for equipment being serviced, moved, or decommissioned.
- Assist with basic machine-related networking tasks, such as verifying connectivity, labeling cables, and updating network documentation.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Record maintenance activities, part usage, and equipment status in internal tracking systems.
- Help update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance checklists as needed.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, or computer hardware.
- Comfortable using hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic tools (training provided).
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills
