As a member of the Development Department, you will be working to grow our philanthropic contributions.  


Position Summary 

The Grants Intern will create grant requests, conduct research and assess mission match for available grants, assistant in grant reporting and tracking, and general fundraising including but not limited to database management, special events, and foundation partnerships. The internship is part-time and includes a stipend. Academic credit can be arranged. The Grant Writing Intern will report to the Director of Foundation Relations. 

Requirements

 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in grant writing, reporting, and tracking efforts  
  • Conduct prospect research for foundation partners  
  • Assist with data management and foundation tracking using Salesforce 
  • Perform general administrative duties to assist the TeenWorks Development staff and other duties as assigned

Working Conditions 

  • Work at company office 12-15 hours per week 
  • Extensive computer work  

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, Communications or a related field with emphasis on writing and/or communication  
  • Presence of core competencies (See Success Indicators) 
  • Creative or Technical Writing experience 
  • Data management experience 
  • Microsoft Office skills

$1,500.00 Stipend
