Quality Engineering Summer Intern

Duration: May 25 – August 7 (Full-Time)

Overview
Synapse ITS is looking for a Quality Engineering Summer Intern to support our manufacturing and quality teams in Greenville. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in quality systems, inspections, and continuous improvement within an ISO-driven environment.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and quality professionals to help ensure our products meet internal standards and customer expectations.


What You’ll Do
You’ll support quality assurance activities across production and engineering.

  • Assist with maintaining quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions
  • Support inspections and help identify non-conforming materials or products
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
  • Assist with data collection and reporting for quality metrics and KPIs
  • Support internal audits and help ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Assist with reviewing production processes and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Help document and track quality issues, including defect trends and resolutions
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams
  • Take on additional projects that support quality and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

 Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field

  • Interest in quality systems, manufacturing, or continuous improvement
  • Basic understanding of quality concepts (inspection, root cause, process improvement) is a plus
  • Exposure to tools such as FMEA, SPC, or similar methodologies is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication and documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
