Summary of the role:


As a Professional Services Coordinator at GRID Alternatives, you will support a high-reaching team committed to crafting a balanced future with outstanding construction projects in the Central Valley Region. In this role, you will collaborate with the Construction Projects Manager, Co-Executive Director, Outreach Team, and Programs Team at GRID Headquarters. This outstanding chance enables you to provide GRID’s residential professional services to qualified homeowners and subcontractors nearby. You will report to the Construction Projects Manager, guaranteeing seamless progress of our efforts.


What you will be doing (essential responsibilities):


  • Serve as liaison between Subcontractor Partnership Program (SPP) and Professional Service Partners and GRID Alternatives local region
  • Serve as a point of contact between Outreach team and the Construction departments for SPP and projects with professional services.
  • Work with the Construction Projects Manager to identify residential projects for selection. Once projects are selected, batch projects to appropriate SPP & Professional Service Partner for full service (engineering, procurement, construction, aka “EPC”) or install only (construction/labor only) via request for quotation (RFQ) or other competitive pricing process.
  • Review submitted bids to include price per watt ($/w) and associated costs, and coordinate alongside the Construction Projects Manager to accept or reject bids.
  • Submit work authorizations to SPP & Professional Services Partners for execution and identify when projects will be installed.
  • Monitor the active Professional Services pipeline and progress towards goals in GRID’s Client Database (Salesforce) and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor and coordinate all professional services for residential projects including electrical, tree service, and roofing subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to schedule professional services in a timely manner to meet monthly installation goals.
  • Schedule meter spots with local utilities and assign professional services to in-house staff.
  • Upload all necessary documents and photos related to rebates and invoicing.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and permitting staff with installation timelines.
  • Work in collaboration with headquarters to ensure successful implementation of the SPP Program processes for all Investor Owned Utilities (IOU)’s, non IOU, and tribal territories in the region.
  • Support subcontractors to minimize QC’s, streamline invoicing, and ensure compliance with SPP & Professional Services program rules.
  • General process improvement and standardization of SPP/PS project procedures and training.
  • Train Outreach and Construction staff on new processes.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Your areas of knowledge and expertise...


  • 1+ year experience in project management
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and work optimally and respectfully within diverse teams
  • Ability to identify improved processes in a program and build consensus on program improvements
  • Available for occasional weekend and evening work as required
  • Able to travel the San Francisco region
  • Proven dedication to GRID Alternatives’ mission and the communities we serve
  • Flexible and willing to embrace change, focus and commit, and bring ideas and energy to a rapidly growing organization
  • Proficient with MS Teams and GSuite (Google Docs, Calendar, etc.), and Salesforce, or able to quickly learn applications.


It would be great if you also had...


  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • While it is not required that applicants have a background in renewable energy, experience or knowledge of the basics of solar energy is helpful
  • Bi-lingual/Bi-literate in Spanish

Compensation:  


The compensation range for this fulltime position is xxxxx. The base pay that will actually be offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.

Where you will sit & the places you may go…


The ideal candidate will sit in the Fresno Office conducting work throughout the Central Valley. This position may require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects such as org-wide celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Availability to work nights and weekends may very rarely be required. GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
