Maintenance Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY


This position provides mechanical support for in-house repairs, installation, preventative maintenance, etc.

This position works on a 2nd shift schedule, M-T 3:00pm - 1:00am.


PRIMARY DUTIES


  • Contractor coordination as needed or assigned by management
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs of all manufacturing equipment
  • Work with all supervisors and personnel to resolve and coordinate repairs in a timely manner
  • Perform mechanical and fabrication installation as needed
  • Order necessary parts and write PO’s as needed
  • Ensure communication of work being performed with all shift personnel
  • Work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays
  • Other duties as assigned by management



Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or GED
  • A.A or equivalent experience in Maintenance Industrial certification
  • Trade school or electrical certification
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits and machine controls
  • Ability to install piping and conduit
  • Working knowledge of chillers, compressors and combustion systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC’s a plus
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office



PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, etc.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use a ladder up to 12ft. on a regular basis
  • Must pass a physical demands test




WORKING CONDITIONS


Manufacturing plant floor. Subject to extreme heat during combustion oven work. Occasional work performed outside as needed, including winter months
