Maintenance Assistant - * New Ownership *


Position Overview: As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for helping the Maintenance Director ensure a safe working environment in the nursing home. You will assist with various maintenance and routine repairs and related tasks as directed by facility leaders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to repair requests, such as leaky faucets, broken locks, and minor electrical issues.
  • Painting, cleaning, and performing general repairs, including replacing tiles or repairing furniture.
  • Conducting inspections, maintaining a clean workspace, and organizing tools, often serving as a key supportive role for operations.

Requirements

Maintenance Assistant Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is highly valued.
  • A positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to solve problems.
  • The job often involves, lifting, walking, and manual labor.
  • Knowledge of IDPH and State Regulations a plus.
