Test Application Engineer

Since 1991, Alfamation has been a leading company in creating and producing solutions and test systems for the electronics, automotive, microelectronics, and optoelectronics sectors.

Since 2024, it has been part of the electronics division of inTEST Corporation, a multinational group listed on the stock exchange and based in New Jersey.

In a technological and innovative context, we designed and developed customised tools and test solutions for our customers from the initial definition of requirements to after-sales service.

For our Monza site, we are looking for a Test Application Engineer:

Reporting to the Test Application Engineer Manager, you will test automatic systems for functional testing of electronic devices. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

- Taking test specifications from customers and defining test procedures

- Implementing the sequence of tests, service, and automatic processes by exploiting the HW and SW tools and optimising their performance

- Validating results by designing diagnostic tests

- Creating scripts for tuning and benchmark testing

- Carrying out HW tests of the test systems with full autonomy

-  Preparing test reports

- Installing systems and providing customer support, ensuring their proper functioning

- Ensuring a great customer experience

- Diploma or degree in the Electronic field;

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role; 

- Good knowledge of the National Instruments software environment: TestStand, LabView;

- Good Knowledge in using the main laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMM, spectrum/network analyzers, etc.

- Good knowledge of the most common communication protocols (I2C, CAN, Uart, Tcp/Ip...)

- Good knowledge of written and spoken English 

- Customer-oriented person able to understand customer needs

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Availability to travel worldwide
