JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Intern at Sanctuary will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, luxury resort environment, supporting the HR team in a coordinator-style capacity. This role offers exposure to a wide range of HR functions through meaningful projects and administrative responsibilities, performed with a high level of ownership under the guidance of the Human Resources team. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to exceptional guest and team member service, creative problem-solving, polished communication skills, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven setting. 


JOB FUNCTIONS

Note: The following duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive.

  • Support the daily operations of the Human Resources office through a variety of administrative and organizational tasks, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all team members  
  • Gain hands-on exposure to the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) by assisting with system updates, data integrity, and ongoing process enhancements  
  • Partner with the HR team to support the full-cycle recruitment process, including coordinating interviews and helping create a positive and engaging candidate experience  
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency across the department  
  • Provide administrative and reporting support across HR functions, supporting efforts that enhance team member engagement and overall organizational success  
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity when handling sensitive team member information 
Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to demonstrate the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, using a combination of education, experience, and transferable skills. 

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, in good academic standing and on track to graduate  
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret information, assess situations, and support thoughtful decision-making in a dynamic environment  
  • Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently while also contributing meaningfully as a collaborative and engaged team member  
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and poise  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact thoughtfully and professionally across all levels of the organization  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear and polished deliverables  
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of accountability, initiative, and commitment to excellence  
  • Prior experience in a hospitality or luxury service environment is highly desirable  
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
