Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated, self-driven, and persistent Sales Development Representative (SDR) who enjoys starting conversations and building relationships with retail business owners to create new opportunities.
This role focuses on outbound prospecting and opportunity creation. You will identify retailers who may benefit from modern retail technology, engage decision-makers, and generate qualified meetings for our Account Executives.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys the challenge of opening doors, isn’t afraid of the phone, and thrives on turning cold outreach into real opportunities.
What You’ll Do
· Identify and research retail businesses that could benefit from modern POS and eCommerce technology
· Conduct outbound outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, and social selling
· Connect with retail owners and decision-makers to understand their current systems and operational challenges
· Qualify prospects and schedule discovery calls, demos, and meetings for Account Executives
· Maintain organized records of outreach and activity in HubSpot CRM
· Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine outreach strategies and messaging
Who You Are
· Naturally driven, resilient, and results-oriented
· Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and outreach
· Strong communicator who can engage business owners and decision-makers
· Organized and able to manage outreach activity and pipeline effectively
· Motivated to build a career in SaaS or technology sales
Experience That Helps
· 1–2 years of experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, or B2B sales
· Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar platforms
· Familiarity with SaaS, retail technology, POS systems, or eCommerce platforms is a plus
· Firearms industry experience a plus
Compensation
· Base Salary: $50,000
· On-Target Earnings (OTE): ~$70,000+
· Variable Compensation: Approximately $20,000+ in performance-based commissions tied to qualified opportunities generated, uncapped
Top performers consistently exceed their OTE through strong prospecting and pipeline generation.
