Position Summary:

Are you looking for a rewarding full-time role working with kids?  Join our team as an Assistant Teacher and help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.  This role offers a great opportunity to build experience working with youth while developing general leadership skills. 


Pay & Schedule

Starting Pay: $15/hour

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 6:30AM-5:45PM

Schedule: Full-Time 35-40 hours per week

Shift: Schedules vary based on staffing needs

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll support the Lead Teacher and help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

In this role, you will:

· Help lead fun, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences that keep kids engaged and learning

· Assist in planning and implementing curriculum and daily activities

· Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development

· Ensure a safe, supervised environment at all times

· Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members

· Use positive guidance to encourage good behavior and problem-solving

· Maintain a clean and organized classroom 

· Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene, and transitions

· Communicate with families and contribute to daily updates

· Help maintain required documentation and licensing standards

Requirements

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you should:

· At least 18 years old

· Have a high school diploma or GED (or in progress)

· Have 1 year of childcare experience required

· Feel confident interacting with children and communicating with parents

· Be willing and able to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Mandatory Reporter, etc.)

· Have reliable transportation and a strong commitment to being on time

· Be able to stay active throughout your shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to meet background check and health screening requirements
