About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial construction projects from award through completion. This is a field-driven role requiring strong leadership, financial oversight, and coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and general contractors.


The ideal candidate has a background in plumbing or mechanical systems (HVAC) and is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple mechanical construction projects from kickoff through closeout 
  • Lead and direct project engineers, superintendents, and field crews 
  • Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality 
  • Track and manage project budgets, costs, and profitability 
  • Forecast and manage manpower needs across active and upcoming projects 
  • Procure materials and equipment while ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery 
  • Review and manage purchase orders, materials, and vendor performance 
  • Coordinate with general contractors and attend project meetings 
  • Ensure all change orders are documented and approved prior to execution 
  • Monitor project schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines 
  • Enforce safety standards, PPE compliance, and job site organization 
  • Provide consistent project updates to leadership 


Work Environment

This role operates in both office and field environments and requires regular job site visits.


Compensation

  • Salary: $80,000 – $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience 
  • Opportunity for growth within a mechanical construction team 
Requirements

 Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Project Management 
    • Plumbing background preferred; HVAC experience considered 
  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in construction 
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and installation processes 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications 
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and manpower planning 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Bluebeam 
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Salary Description
