Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers and technicians with parts selection, ensuring accurate orders, and maintaining efficient inventory operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist retail customers and service technicians in identifying and purchasing the correct parts
- Look up parts using electronic catalogs and manufacturer systems
- Process parts orders, invoices, and returns accurately
- Maintain organized inventory and stock levels
- Receive, label, and stock incoming parts shipments
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely parts availability
- Provide pricing, availability, and product information to customers
- Keep the parts department clean and organized
- Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Previous automotive parts experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn parts catalog systems
- Valid driver’s license
