The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and physical upkeep of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational environment under the direction of the Director of Maintenance. This role supports the maintenance of a skilled nursing facility environment, including preventive maintenance, repairs, emergency response, and general building systems upkeep.
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders and service requests in a timely manner
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems
- Maintenance Technician will complete make-ready process of vacant rooms as directed by the Director of Maintenance
- Maintenance Technician will deliver supplies and materials to designated units as needed
- Monitor work performed by outside contractors for quality and compliance
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as scheduled (on-call rotation)
- Report to work during weather events, emergencies, or staffing shortages as needed
- Maintain and inspect building systems and equipment
- Keep grounds, dumpster areas, and exterior spaces clean and safe
- Report any damage, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Director of Maintenance
- Maintain professional communication with residents, staff, vendors, and contractors
- Follow all OSHA, facility, state, and federal safety regulations
- Experience in facility maintenance, healthcare maintenance, or building maintenance
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency maintenance situations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be reliable for on-call and rotating coverage schedule
