Description

Range:  $17.50-$21.00


BUILDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Upkeep and maintenance of all Mission facilities
  • Complete special maintenance projects

GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

  • Assist in lawn care (mowing, weeding, raking, etc.) during the appropriate season Aid in snow removal
  • Ensure that the Mission properties are clean and free of litter and debris

SPECIAL MAINTENANCE AREAS

  • Cooperate in the maintenance of heating and cooling systems, lighting and security and safety systems.
  • Assist with facility and equipment needs with Development Department for special events.

MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES

  • Help with special pickups as assigned.
  • Work with program residents on special projects.
  • Oversee a variety of ongoing projects.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to address emergency situations and special event needs.
  • Manifest Christian character traits of integrity, trustworthiness, responsibility, etc.
  • Be teachable and function as a team player.
  • Perform related work and other duties when required and as assigned.


Requirements

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum requirement High School or GED
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems building and HVACR units, carpentry, and plumbing experience.
  • General experience in the automotive, maintenance, housekeeping and construction areas.
  • Understanding of safety, security, and emergency procedures.

  • PHYSICAL FACTORS
  • Ability to perform projects that require strength and high levels of energy.
  • Frequent moving, pushing, pulling and climbing. Frequent standing for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting of 75-80 pounds.SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take every opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
  • Provide spiritual encouragement to staff, volunteers, guests, residents, and donors.
  • Invest in the spiritual development of staff, guests, residents, and donors.
  • Pray for and with staff, volunteers, guests, residents, and donors.
  • Ensure actions and policies reflect the Christian values and purpose of the Mission.
  • Handle relational conflicts according to the Staff Covenant of Romans 12:18 and Matthew 18:15-19.
  • Memorize monthly Scripture, Mission Statement, and Mission Core Values.
  • Participate in corporate prayer and Scripture reading, staff chapel services, and all spiritual gatherings.
  • Support and attend annual mandatory Evangelism In Service training to grow in knowledge of leading others to faith in Christ.
  • Participate in annual spiritual growth training through organization selected curriculum.
