Background

Campus Tulsa is a summer internship program designed to connect high-potential college students to meaningful career experiences in Tulsa. Through partnerships with local employers, Campus Tulsa places interns across industries—with a dedicated track focused on supporting nonprofit organizations and strengthening Tulsa’s social impact ecosystem.

Campus Tulsa seeks motivated, community-minded candidates to serve as Nonprofit Interns, placed directly with local nonprofit organizations for a structured summer experience. This is a 9-week paid internship program, running from Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, July 24.

All selected interns are eligible to participate in the Campus Tulsa Housing Program, which provides access to a residential community and additional opportunities to engage with fellow interns across the city.

Internship Overview

 Campus Tulsa Nonprofit Interns will be placed with a local nonprofit organization to support mission-driven work across a variety of focus areas such as community development, education, public service, arts, and social impact.

Interns will gain hands-on experience while contributing to projects that create meaningful outcomes for the Tulsa community.


Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of projects aligned with the nonprofit’s mission and strategic priorities
  • Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to inform programs, initiatives, and organizational decisions
  • Assist with project management, including:
  • Tracking timelines and deliverables
  • Supporting internal coordination and communication
  • Preparing agendas, materials, and reports
  • Draft and edit communications, including emails, presentations, and promotional materials
  • Participate in meetings, events, and community engagement opportunities with local partners
  • Build relationships with team members, stakeholders, and community organizations
  • Contribute to additional projects and organizational needs, as assigned

In addition to their placement, interns will participate in Campus Tulsa programming, including professional development, networking events, and opportunities to explore Tulsa.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student or recent graduate

Availability:

  • Full participation required for the full program dates: May 26th – July 24th
  • Ability to work primarily on-site at the host organization, typically between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with occasional flexibility for events or organizational needs

Proficiencies:

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively using tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Zoom
  • Clear, organized, and concise written communication
  • Attention to detail, including proofreading and document review
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
